So Dave's notorious for misreading his friends in rather fundamental ways, and somewhere out there is a pesterlog where he says something along the lines of "and jade just needs to be protected or something." Which, come on, it's JADE, she raised herself on hellmurder island; I don't think she needs protecting.
So I'd like to see a thing where Jade is saving Dave and proving him wrong! It can be an AU or canon-compliant or whatever, but let's have Dave be the damsel for once, ideally swooning with the best of him when his lady comes to his rescue.

I want to see a guardian-swap AU wherein Jade ended up being raised by Bro. What does Jade Strider look like? How does she deal with the weirdness of being a Strider? If you want to get into the game, it would also be fascinating to see what Jadesprite with Davesprite's story looks like.
Ships and other characters are optional/at your discretion. If you want to experiment with patron trolls, that's fine. Whichever guardians the other kids end up with is fine, or you could have her being raised alongside Dave. It's up to you!

This is sappy and cheesy, but I'd like to see a nice big reunion between all the beta kids, headed specifically by Jade. As in all four of them have kind of gone their separate ways (either post-game or post-whatever if you'd prefer an AU) but Jade goes and seeks out all of them to bring them together again. I would love to see some Jade/Karkat, of any quadrant! Anything from cute domestic fluff to epic adventures of a Witch and a Knight. maybe Jade plays hopscotch across her moral compass and follows her curiosity wherever it leads, and this unnerves her steadfast Knight, but he's devoted to her and keeps protecting her anyway? Maybe Tavros is the Page to Karkat's Knight, but he doesn't like his job or he's struggling in the Game because he's a Breath player at heart and he just wants to be free, and Jade helps him realize this. To clarify, what I mean is either of these relationships, not both simultaneously (though if that's what you want to do, that's completely okay too!). Both Tavros and Karkat have some issues with self-confidence and self-doubt, which is why I put them both on here, so it'd be great to see a Jade that gently takes the lead in the relationship and encourages her partner onward.

Pretty much anything! It always seemed like Jadesprite's portion of the story went by too fast in the comic. This could be a look at what she went through in the afterlife (especially since I think it was implied she met the troll dancestors?), or another look at her and Jade interacting. I'd also DEFINITELY be curious to see her and Davesprite talking more. On the whole, the comic was more from Jade's perspective, being frustrated with Jadesprite, so I'd like it best if whatever you do is sympathetic to Jadesprite's point of view. Any romance you feel like writing is also perfectly fine with me!

Jade may have grown up on an island, but with an overprotective, teleporting guardian she was rarely permitted to spend too long at the shore, or venture too far into the water. As a result, she can't swim. Eridan finds this totally unacceptable, and takes it upon himself to teach her.
I don't expect that Eridan is a great teacher or that Jade's the best student, but it'd be nice if she developed some minimal competency without them deciding they can't stand each other?

How would someone like this raise a child? How would her worldview change from her youth, where she drives herself so hard, to the sudden inclusion of a child whom she has to care for? What lessons would Jake ultimately take away from a caretaker like Jade? How do you reconcile the notion that Jade was a kindly old grandmother (because of course she was) and a spitfire rebel leader (because of course she was)? What legacy would she leave in Jake's life after she was gone?

I absolutely adore these two together. Whether it's romantic or just platonic bros, these guys have SO MUCH in common-and I think their dynamic would be amazing, Jade and Dirk are both so disarming in equal measure but in drastically different ways. My love for rarepairs might be showing here, but this is just a fascinating ship to me and there's not nearly enough of it. They share a lot in common: they both grew up on an island in the middle of the ocean, they both use rifle kind, they both, uh. Science? At any rate, their canon interaction was pretty great, and I'd like to see how these two crazy kids could make things work, or not even!

Kanaya is part of a rebellion against the Condesce and crashlands on Earth - miraculously landing on Jade's island, instead of in the ocean surrounding it. jade, nepeta and feferi had a pretty solid friendship, and for the longest time theyd all been content with how things ran. they had sleepovers, baked stuff, gossiped, watched movies, hung out, everything friends do. that comfortable friendship, however, was put under a considerable amount of strain when jade officially began to date dave. now, the once tight-knit friendship group have fallen apart, after jade constantly excuses herself from girl's nights out in favour of spending time with dave. she worries that she's made the wrong choice in sacrificing her best friends for a boy, even if she loves him. it's up to jade to sort out this mess (maybe with a liiittle help in the form of a clueless boyfriend), and show her friends she still loves them and values them, even if dave's part of the picture now, too.

WIZARD COPS. more harry potter wider-range-than-canon worldbuilding. Jade never expected to end up in the corrupted and ineffective wizard police force, but despite her extensive scholarship-funded nuclear physics education at muggle universities (science, to the wizarding world, is like cats inventing gloves that give them opposable thumbs: unnatural and threatening), Jade is far too restless to sit still in a lab or even the forensics department. At the heart of things I would really adore some old-fashioned four kids in a house, but I've always wanted Jade to be the focus. I'd like to see a little of their day to day cycle, whether it's a shared college house, or an arrangement they came to protectively to help each other with the emotional after-effects of playing SBURB. I'd love an adventure where they're scouts camping in the woods but then MONSTERS happen and they have to use their wit and vim to survive until they find safety or can call for rescue.
Zombies are an obvious choice considering Jade's choice of boomstick and Kanaya's ability to cut through a bunch of gross things. If you'd rather them not be tiny teens and age them up so they're just on a camping trip that is totally great too.
Other cool monsters would be Werewolves (I really like them) The Flatwoods Monster, The Swamp Thing, Skin Walkers, or other things from wikipedia's cryptid section. Trollstuck. Dave is a mutantblood living a relatively peaceful, if strained existence -- up until a wild-eyed jadeblood troll (Jade) shows up on the doorstep to his hive one rainy night. She's in desperate need of shelter, and harbors a secret. Maybe it's a genetically engineered matriorb, maybe it's secret technology, maybe it's a plan to overthrow the system. Whatever the reason, Dave finds himself swept up in it, and in Jade, who he finds himself deeply admiring.
It'd be fun to see this from Jade's perspective; if it's from Dave's, he should be very, very focused on Jade.

What I was really interested in was the idea of a dead (ghost?) Jade.
Something along the lines of her floating over her coffin at the funeral, rolling her eyes at how bored of the whole thing. But then she notices her (crush?) at her funeral. Who looks like they've seen a ghost.
And it's always been speculated the one who sees the death can see the ghost.

Something along the lines of a doomed Jade.
Theoretically she would be from a doomed timeline, traveling to the alpha via means of a time player, or perhaps she acquired some stolen time tables [music boxes are also good].
One way or the other, she makes it back, saves everyone, then heads off to do her own thing.And she ends up finding herself in the new after-sburb universe, and much to her surprise, still alive.
With only one problem.
She is constantly followed by death.
In short Jade trying to survive in a world trying to kill her, which probably would have been ended a long time ago for her if she wasn't so quick with her rifle.

I would like to see Jade English exploring Hellmurder Island, discovering the portals into the Medium, and having adventures in the strange new universe of Sburb. How much of the game exists before the players enter? Did she have any contact with the Black Queen, or had the Condesce already conquered Derse? Did she have any contact with the White Queen? How and why did she steal Jack Noir's fourth wall? If the Denizens existed (instead of being retroactively created upon the players' entries), were they awake and open to conversations? How much did she tell Rose and Dave about her adventures? (Did she take pictures of Roxy and Dirk so they would have some tangible record of their timelost wards?) Did she try to spark a resistance among the Dersites the way she founded a resistance movement on Earth? I have so many questions and would love some answers!

I assume Jade shrinks the alpha!Earth and carts it off into another universe to become the cherubs' home; that is really the only explanation. I would like to see the details of that process! Or maybe Jade (beneath the grimbark) reacting to the waterlogged destruction and half-assed conversion of Earth into a new troll homeworld, or maybe spotting the jpg Statue of Liberty artifacts alpha!Dave must have made as they emerge from beneath the evaporating waters under the red sun's light. Or maybe just Jade exploring Roxy's and Dirk's homes and the wreckage left behind by their entry into the Medium. The whole episode is fascinating and I would like to see it explored in a way I suspect canon will never do.

So after watching Dave get brutally murdered in front of her, Jade carries on with her frog breeding quest (I guess they were nearly done, since she does succeed without any further time loops), makes the possibly suicidal decision to confront her Denizen... and ends up talking instead of fighting, after which she emerges having made a seemingly impossible bargain. I'd like to see her thoughts and feelings leading up to that confrontation, and also whether she really thought she could pull off the terms she agreed to (did Echidna let something slip? had she seen cloud visions that now suddenly made sense?) or whether it was her equivalent of Rose's attempt to break the game -- sort of a, "My friends are dead, none of this matters, why the hell not!" reaction. Should you wish to include Bec Noir and his creepy-ridiculous stalking ways, that is fine by me.

Jade is insanely smart and resourceful, having brought herself up and enjoying NUCLEAR PHYSICS GOD DAMN. What would happen in a world after the game, where the threat to life has been removed? Does she research nuclear fission? Is she designing bionic limbs? Is she delivering theories that turn the world of physics on its head? You can include other characters if you like, just... science!

With Jade's isolation and resourcefulness, she probably did routine maintenance on her dreambot, giving her a working knowledge of robotics. Know who else does robotics? Dirk and Equius! Let's have a Jade and Dirk and/or Equius robot-themed bonding moment. Maybe they meet and connect over their shared robot mishaps. Maybe they work together to design mechas to help defeat some otherworldly foe, or maybe the robot they're making has more mundane uses like building houses or something. Maybe they're just sitting around upgrading their robots and gossiping. Go crazy!

I'd love something that juxtaposes Jade as a "feminine" girl with "masculine" hobbies against Jane as a "masculine" girl with "feminine" hobbies. (Meaning femme, cute Jade and (soft) butch Jane liking what they like.) You can take this where you want! But it would be nice to see how it influences their interactions with each other, as well as their interactions, romantic or otherwise, with other characters.

I'd love to see Jade literally sweep a dance partner (or more than one!) off their feet. They can be doing swing, ballroom, hip-hop, the funky chicken, or anything you can imagine, as long as Jade's having fun shaking that thing with her partner(s). If Grandma Jade's lifespan lines up roughly with Grandpa Harley's (1910 to 2000-ish?), then she lived through nearly a century of world-shaking happenings: the World Wars, the Great Depression, Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War, the suffragettes, the Civil Right Movement in the 60's, and so much more. I'd love to see something exploring what role she played in any--or, for the ambitious, more than one--of these events or how they impacted her as she worked her way to fame, fortune, and rebellion.
